GCSE results updated with 2017

08 February 2018

GCSE results for the following indicators have been updated with 2017 data:

Pupils at the end of Key Stage 4
% Pupils achieving 5 or more GCSE passes at A*-C
% Pupils achieving 5 or more GCSE passes at A*-C, including English and Maths
Attainment 8 score

In 2017 62.6% of pupils educated in Kirklees LEA schools achieved 5 or more GCSE passes at A*-C (including english and maths) compared to 55.6% in 2016 (England 2017 56.6), though with recent changes in the grading system it is unlikely that comparisons between years can strictly be made on a like-for-like basis. In West Yorkshire, Calderdale had the highest rate at 65.6% with Bradford the lowest at 56.1%.

The source of the data is Kirklees Council and Department of Education Performance Tables.
