Kirklees electoral wards were reviewed and finalised December 2024 by the Boundary Commission, and first used in the May 2026 local elections.
Eight wards underwent no changes: Almondbury, Ashbrow, Batley East, Cleckheaton, Denby Dale, Dewsbury East, Holme Valley North and Holme Valley South.
The boundaries of eleven wards were altered without a name change: Batley West, Birstall and Birkenshaw, Dalton, Dewsbury South, Dewsbury West. Greenhead, Heckmondwike, Kirkburton, Lindley, Liversedge and Gomersal, and Mirfield.
Four new wards were created: Colne Valley West, Colne Valley East, Crosland . Moor, Newsome and Netherton.
